CME Credit for QOPI® Participation
Physicians whose practice is participating in ASCO’s Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) now have the opportunity to earn CME credit by conducting a related performance improvement activity.
There are three phases to the process—5 credits are earned for completing each phase, and an additional 5 credits are available to physicians who complete the full performance improvement activity, for a maximum of 20 credits.
- Phase I focuses on learning from the current practice performance assessment.
- Phase II, on learning from the application of performance improvement to patient care.
- Phase III, on learning from the evaluation of the performance improvement effort.
Physicians need only complete and submit a series of reflective questions documenting their participation in each phase of the activity to receive credit.
Non-physicians may receive a Certificate of Participation for completing the CME credit requirements. The Certificate of Participation may be used to obtain CE credits with their respective accrediting bodies.
